After 20 years of operations, Silver Diner was faced with the challenge of evolving their brand. With declining sales, there was a need to break away from the “greasy spoon” perception while positioning the 20-unit chain of restaurants as healthier to a younger audience. With emphasis on fresh and local sourcing and updated traditional diner fare, the classic diner converted into the Next Generation Diner with a new identity, menu, and collateral style resulting in year over year positive same store sales and numerous accolades.
